Scented candle

Lemon essence, Neroli, Fig

A Floral, Fruity candle evoking the dawn of Lisbon, imagined by Suzy Le Helley for D'ORSAY.

The fusion of Laëtitia Rouget's mischievous ceramics and D'ORSAY's olfactory dimension offers a new perspective on romance. Through the creation of three candles, the fragrance transports us directly to the artist's adopted country, Portugal.

The sunny, invigorating notes intertwine, evoking the bewitching aromas of Mandarin, Neroli and Fig, for a romantic and poetic experience, full of surprise.

The earthenware pots are reusable and reveal a design when the wax is fully consumed.

Know-How

All D'ORSAY candles are cast in France, in a workshop run by Ciriers who have handed down their unique know-how for four generations.

They are made using traditional, manual techniques preserved by our craftsmen.

The candle's glass is signed with a monogram - interlaced letters - in a modern echo of the company's history.

Composition

Benzyl salicylate, d-Limonene, 3,7-Dimethyl-1,6-nonadien-3-ol, dl-Citronellol, Citral, Linalool, 6,7-Dihydro-1,1,2,3,3-pentamethyl-4(5H)-indanone.

Use and Care

Our giant candle gives you around 120 hours of burning time.

To get the most out of your D'ORSAY candle, here are some tips to follow:

- On first use, burn the candle until the entire surface becomes liquid. This will take about 4 hours of burning. This will prevent the wax from hollowing out and forming a well around the wick.
- Allow the wax to solidify before relighting the candle.
- Prefer the use of a snuffer to avoid smoke.
- Cut the wick regularly with the wick cutter (ideal length 3 to 5 mm) to prevent the candle from smoking or the wick from falling into the wax.
- If the wick becomes misaligned, gently recenter it while the wax is still melting.
- Do not leave the candle unattended and do not burn it for more than four hours at a time after initial use.
- Keep the candle out of the reach of children and pets.

The words of the
perfumer:

Guided by the sparkling aura of Laëtitia Rouget, I created 05:33 as a tribute to her home, a veritable cocoon. I was inspired by this haven of peace, where the warmth of the sun nourishes every fruit in the garden, taking us on a sensory journey. I wanted to highlight symbols of the Mediterranean, with joyful Lemon, sweet Neroli and milky Fig. This candle is just like the artist: sunny and full of joy!

Of Love

After a night of dancing and discussing the world under the stars, our bohemian troupe gathered in this garden of lemon, mandarin and fig trees. Amazed by the colors of dawn and tenderly connected to nature, our hearts soothed. The sun began to warm our skins, and the harmony of our group was simply evident. We closed our eyes to capture the sunny, neroli-scented atmosphere forever, and then I whispered: "What a pleasure to share a minha vida portuguesa*". *My life in Portugal.

Creation

Laëtitia Rouget is a French artist living on the Costa da Caparica, a few kilometers south of Lisbon. Drawing inspiration from the pine forests and fruit trees that surround her studio, she creates unique ceramic pieces that are both colorful and humorous. After spending her childhood in France in a family of porcelain makers, she decided to move to London at the age of 19 to study art at Central Saint Martins School. She lived in London for almost ten years. These London years had a profound influence, inspiring and guiding her, both artistically and on a human level. Today, her work is the fruit of a skilful blend. Each of her works combines French joie de vivre, Anglo-Saxon eccentricity and Portuguese sunshine. This astonishing cocktail enables him to create works brimming with humor, largely inspired by nature or the human body. Often tinged with irony, his works are an invitation to discuss, laugh and share.
