What is your strongest olfactory memory?

My strongest olfactory memory is back from my young years, when I used to go to my parents’ bathroom in the morning and smelled the smell of "Pour Un Homme de Caron". It was indeed my father’s favorite perfume.

What is the most unusual place you have ever been asked on a date?

In a museum in 1998, the Palais de Tokyo, where they had recreated a hotel lobby where you could leave messages for people. Someone had left a message in this virtual hotel.

What scent would you like to make into a fragrance?

The scent of happiness, the memories of family vacations in the sun, well-being and reunions. Absolute happiness. Happiness, a strange mixture indeed.

Perfume and Seduction: Does this sound still relevant to you?

Scents and the seduction are totally connected! Seduction, smell, everything that can impact with memories. Thank god for perfumers! I’m counting on D’ORSAY to give us another incredible fragrance. In 2020, we were all confined. We need to rediscover the magic of the scents, of the unexpected, of tomorrow. A mix between past and future, hence the existence of nose specialists.

Tell us about a moment in your life when you wished for time to stop and that it would last forever?

The moment that first comes to my mind is undoubtedly the moment I laid eyes on my daughters. Just after giving birth, they put them in my arms … It was a magical moment, a carnal moment, the memory of an incredible scent of absolute well-being.

What is your favorite time of the day?

In the morning, I love the morning ritual, the smell of coffee, the smell of the new day, whether t’s raining or it’s sunny, it’s an imperceptible smell of everything that will follow.

What are your plans for this year?

Bye Bye 2020. Even though it was a very difficult year, we still learned a lot about ourselves, about others. It wasn’t such a bad year after all, but hey, we’re still very happy to be spending 2021 with big creative projects in mind, we never stop! We will only stop when we are no longer able to smell and feel.
