Meet the aesthete Isabelle Stanislas, Interior Designer
“I tend to associate perfume with skin”. Discover our interview with Isabelle Stanislas, Interior Designer.
What is your strongest olfactory memory?
The most meaningful one was the first time I smelled Chanel 5, not the perfume, but the cream version. I immediately associated this smell with the skin, it is very sweet and very strong at the same time.
What is the craziest declaration that has been made to you?
The one that resonated with me forever was telling me to keep my old jeans instead of throwing them away.
What is the most unusual place you have ever been asked on a date?
It was during a weekend, I got an invite to meet up in a field in Italy.
What scent would you like to make into a fragrance?
Waking up on a summer morning in Tuscany.
Perfume & Seduction: Does this sound still relevant to you?
Forever and ever. It’s a part of you and since I associate someone’s smell with their skin, I believe that you don’t need artifices to be beautiful.
Seduction in 2021 has to be simple and be all about well-being. I think that perfume is a unique accessory to achieve this.
Tell us about a moment in your life when you wished for time to stop and that it would last forever?
For me, it’s meeting up with people. I love to leave to meet up again. At this exact moment, it feels like a moment of eternity.
What is your favorite time of the day?
5:00 p.m., because at 5:00 p.m., that’s when the second day slowly starts to set in and before you know it, it’s nighttime.
What are your plans for this year?
To continue what I started and try to keep up, particularly the release of my own book, which will be a retrospective of all my work.
